Severe storms have hit the Sydney area and much of the NSW coast today. A severe supercell produced a tornado which damaged dozens of houses in Kurnell, Sydney. A wind gust of 213km/h was recorded by an Automatic Weather Station and cricket ball sized hail was collected. The rain-wrapped tornado tore off numerous roofs and blew a truck over.
