Sunday 27/11/2015 brought some spectacular storms to South East Queensland. The morning began with almost complete overcast and some light rain in areas north of Brisbane.

The light rain cleared by late morning but the overcast remained. Small showers and storm cells developed in the area of the Lockyer Valley and Border Ranges.

These cells eventually became organised into lines which began moving North North East on a southerly change. Several of the lines produced spectacular gust fronts and shelf clouds.

Well that was a surprisingly photogenic storm! Here's some photos I took from Wishart a couple of hours ago:(Ken):

Nice little chase today down to Southport - like clockwork this beautiful guster rolled through just after 4pm with plenty of layering.
