Storms on Darling Downs and Lockyer Valley – 30/11/2015

Some storms developed inland of South East Queensland but didn’t reach the coastal areas. Storms developed first near Yarraman and then Dalby, tracking North North East through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland before disapating near Gympie. Another shortlived cell formed near Harrisville and tracked east before dying north of Boonah.

Severe storms have affected widespread areas of South East Queensland over the weekend of the 28th and 29th of November 2015. On Saturday 28/11/2015 storms began developing on the Eastern Darling Downs, west of Toowoomba. Inland Storms – 27/11/2015

On Friday 27/11/2015 storms formed initially in the Kingaroy area and in the Lockyer Valley¬†area. The storms moved slowly east and northeast but didn’t reach the coast. The Lockyer Valley storm died by about 6:30pm, but the Kingaroy storms moved north east into the Wide Bay Burnett area.
