There’s a good chance of thunderstorms in Brisbane and on the South East Queensland coastline today. Both the Bureau of Meteorology and Weatherzone are forecasting thunderstorms for Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. More Storms Likely in South East Queensland Today in Replay of Yesterday

Today’s forecast models look fairly similar to yesterday. Instability isn’t quite so strong as it was on Monday, with CAPE values of around 1500-1800 as compared with yesterday’s 3000. Otherwise the shear looks very similar, as does the moisture profile. Keep an eye out for BOM Storm Warnings later this afternoon!
