David Findlay
David is a 22 year old storm chaser from Redcliffe Peninsula, just north of Brisbane, Australia. Other than weather, his interests include bushwalking, mountain climbing, flying and ballroom dancing. He is also fascinated by all technology, particularly electronics and spaceflight. David has a student pilots license and has recently finished the first stage of his flight training, to GFPT level. He would like to eventually become a flight instructor or civilian astronaut. David operates a computer technical support business on on the northside of Brisbane, named Davsoft.
David's interest in storms began in his early teenage years, after being scared of storms throughout childhood. After watching some documentaries on storms and of course the movie "Twister" he became interested in chasing and photographing severe storms. David's favourite type of weather phenomenon is is lightning. He currently uses a Canon A75 3 megapixel digital camera and a Canon AE-1 film camera with slide film. David usually drives his white Mitsubishi Express van. David is a member of the Australian Severe Weather Association.
